Setting up your server

Prerequisites

An account on a hosting service provider like exaroton.

Exaroton

Download Plugin from the XGaming website

1. Download the Asset Generator Plugin

Setting up exaroton

1. Go to your Exaroton Dashboard.

   

2. If you don’t have an account, you will be redirected to their sign up page. Sign up and go to the dashboard

Creating server

1. On the dashboard, click on the create button

   

2. Give your server a name

   

3. Hit create, you will be redirected to your server’s dashboard

   

Buying Credits [For first time users] :

1. To install plugins, you will need to buy credits. Click on buy button on the top, next to your credits

   

2. Select the amount and click on buy credits

   

3. You will be promoted to enter your billing details

   

Installing paperMC

1. On your server dashboard, click software on the left panel

2. Then select paper/bukkit and choose 1.20.4 as your version

   

   

3. You will land on paperMC page, click reinstall.

   

4. A warning popup will appear. Click Yes,Reinstall

   

Start the server

1. Go to Server tab and start the server

   

2. Allow notification in chrome browser (optional)

   

3. Stop the server. Wait until it goes offline

   

Installing the XGaming Asset Genrator plugin

1. Click the files button on left sidebar

   

2. Click on Plugin folder

   

3. Upload plugin

   1. Click on upload icon

      

   2. Select Files option

   3. Select Asset Generator Plugin you have downloaded from here. It is an executable jar file, Called Asset-Generator-1.jar

   

4. You will see AssetGenerator-1.jar loaded in your plugin folder.

Install Permission plugins

1. Install LuckPerms

   1. Go to Plugins on the left side bar and search for luckperms

      

   2. Select ‘LuckPerms’

   3. Click on download icon to install latest version

      

   4. Go to files and select plugin folder

   5. Check if luckperms is installed successfully (img)

      

Install compatibility plugins

1. Install ViaVersion
2. Install ViaBackwards
3. Go to files and select plugin folder. You will see viaversion.jar and viabackwards.jar if they are installed properly

Install Cross platform plugins

1. [Bedrock Players Only] : Install GyserMC
2. [Bedrock Players Only] : Install Floodgate
3. Go to files and select plugin folder. You will see viaversion.jar and viabackwards.jar if they are installed properly

Start Server

1. Go back to the server tab
2. Click on start button to start server
3. Check if everything starts correctly
